ORAL ORDER
In this petition, the petitioner is assailing the
order/endorsement dated 08.12.2025 (Annexure-A) passed by respondent No.3 on behalf of respondent No.2 and the order dated 31.10.2025 (Annexure-B) passed by respondent No.3.
2. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties and careful consideration of the material on record, would indicate that, being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of respondent No. 3 to effect khatha in respect of the land in question, the petitioner has approached respondent No. 2 by filing an appeal under Section 136(2) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964.
3. In that view of the matter, it is the duty of respondent No.2 to consider the appeal preferred by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with the Act and the Rules made thereunder.

4. Accordingly, I proceed to pass the following:
ORDER i. The writ petition is allowed. ii. The impugned endorsement dated 08.12.2025 (Annexure-A) passed by respondent No.2 is hereby set aside. iii. The matter is remitted to respondent No.2 to reconsider the issue afresh after affording an opportunity of hearing to all the parties concerned and to take decision on the matter in accordance with law. iv. Since the parties are represented through their learned counsels, parties are directed to appear before respondent No.2 on 06.10.2026 at 3.00 p.m. v. It is made clear that this court, by order dated 23.12.2025 has granted status quo regarding the schedule property. vi. In that view of the matter, the interim order passed by this court shall continue till the

conclusion of the proceedings before respondent No.2. vii. Pending IA(s), if any, stand
disposed of accordingly.
