-And-
In the matter of : Kazi Samsuddin Ahammad @ Sahin Kazi
… Petitioner(s)
Mr. Dattatreya Dutta Ms. Ipsita Ghosh Mr. Monjit Bhattacharjee Mr. Kazi Monirul Hoque
… for the petitioner(s)
Mr. Amitava Karmakar Ms. Nupur Chaudhuri
… for the State-respondent(s)
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been made a victim of political vendetta. Learned advocate for the State submits that it was under the leadership of the present petitioner, the police were attacked and there are certain injuries which are reflecting from the case diary. I have taken into account the fact that another accused person has been granted anticipatory bail. However,
2 it was under the leadership of the present petitioner, things were mobilized. Be that as it may, on the date of election there may have been some commotion between the rival political parties and cases may arise where people may have lost nerves. Having considered the overall circumstances, I direct the learned ACJM, Bolpur that in case the petitioner surrenders before the learned jurisdictional court and prays for bail, he may be allowed to furnish bond with a condition that he will meet with the I.O. of the case once in a week till the report in final form is submitted before the learned jurisdictional court. With the aforesaid observations, CRM (A) 2892 of 2026 is disposed of. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
