Romesh Verma, Judge(oral) Learned Additional Advocate General has placed on record instructions dated 06.03.2026, as received from the Director of Higher Education, H.P., Shimla-1, which read as follows: “I have the honour to refer to the above mentioned Contempt Petition, which is pending adjudication before the Honble High Court. This case was listed on 27.02.2026 before the Honble High Court, when the Honble High Court has directed to impart instructions in the matter. In this regard, it is submitted that the petitioner was initially appointed on daily wage basis on 23.05.2001 and his services were regularized on 22.12.2011. After adding the admissible weightage of daily wage service to his regular service, the total qualifying service comes to 10 years for pensionery benefits. Therefore, the Deputy Director of Higher Education Chamba has directed vide order dated 02.03.2026 the concerned Principal to process and forward the complete pension 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 case to the Accountant General of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla immediately (copy enclosed). It is, therefore, requested that the Honble High Court may kindly be apprised accordingly, on the next date of hearing i.e. 06.03.2026, please.” 2. Keeping in view the fact that the respondents have complied with the order in question, therefore, present contempt petition is ordered to be closed with liberty to the petitioner that, in case the order as passed by Director of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla-1, is not taken to its logical end, the petitioner will be at liberty to revive the present petition.
