In this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the endorsement dated 31.03.2026 issued by the third respondent (Annexure-L). 3. Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties, it is forthcoming from the impugned endorsement at Annexure-L that the said order has been passed by the Assistant Commissioner, Doddaballapura - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010593182026 NC: 2026:KHC:46491 WP No. 26720 of 2026 Sub-Division, Doddaballapura. However, the same has been signed by the Tahsildar, Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Doddaballapra Sub-Division, Doddaballapura. However, it is stated in the endorsement that the appeal is preferred, under Section 136(2) of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 (for short, ‘the Act’). 4. In that view of the matter, the Tahsildar of the Office of the Assistant Commissioner has no jurisdiction to issue the impugned endorsement at Annexure-L in the letter-head of the Assistant Commissioner under Section 136(2) of the Act. 5. It is a clear non-application of the mind by the respondent-authorities. Accordingly, the writ petition is allowed and the impugned endorsement at Annexure-L dated 31.03.2026 is set aside.
