In Re : Rajkumar Ghosh
... Petitioner.
Mr. Mazahar Hossain Chowdhury
... For the Petitioner.
Dr. Pradip Banerjee, APP, Mr. Amit Roy
... For the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is better placed than the other accused persons who have been granted bail. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail. Learned advocate for the State was specifically asked relating to antecedents of the present petitioner or any CDR or money trail available in the present case so far as the complicity of the present petitioner is concerned. Learned advocate replied that so far as the records of the case are concerned which include the Memo of Evidence and case diary, no such materials are available. Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that the present petitioner viz., Rajkumar Ghosh be released on bail by the learned Special Court/Trial Court on the same terms and conditions as the
2 other accused person viz., Ganesh Mandal who has been granted bail on 20.07.2026 in CRM(NDPS) 1350 of 2026. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Memo of Evidence submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the State be kept with the record. The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 1880 of 2026, is, thus, disposed of. All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
