D/L812 03.09.2026 Bpg. C.R.M. (A)2910 of 2026 In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Bhagwanpur Police Station Case No.49 of 2025 dated 02.05.2025 under Sections 85/62/64/75/115(2)/117(2)/3(5)/351(2) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act; Akbar Mir @ Mir Mahammad Akbar Hossain Versus The State of West Bengal & Anr. Mr. Sk. Mustak Ali. …for the petitioner. Mr. Sagar Saha Ms. Nayana Mukhopadhyay. …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is the elder brother-in-law of the victim and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. Learned advocate for the State has produced the case diary. I have taken into account the statement of the victim under Section 183 of the BNSS and I find that specific accusation against the present petitioner. Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner being CRM(A)2910 of 2026 is dismissed. 2 All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
