The present criminal writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of direction to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of the private respondents No.5 to 12. A further prayer has also been made for issuance of an appropriate order or direction to consider and decide the representations dated 18.03.2026 and 09.06.2026 (Annexures P- 4 and P-6). 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners have already submitted representation dated 18.03.2026 (Annexure P-4) to respondent No.3 and representation dated 09.06.2026 (Annexure P-6) to respondent No.2, raising the grievances raised in the present petition, but no action has been taken thereon so far. He further submits that, at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied if a direction is issued to SHWETA 2026.09.03 18:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document CRWP-10693-2026 (O&M) 2 respondent No.2 to consider and decide the aforesaid representations in a time-bound manner and to take action in accordance with law. 3. Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4-State and submits that the needful shall be done in accordance with law. Let a complete set of the paper-book be supplied to him during the course of the day. 5. Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case and in view of the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners, respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Jagraon, District Ludhiana, is directed to look into the representations dated 18.03.2026 and 09.06.2026 (Annexures P-4 and P-6) and decide the same, in accordance with law, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. 6.
