The petitioner has filed the present petition under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.209 dated 27.12.2025, registered under Sections 329(3), 62 and 318(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 at Police Station Sangat, District Bathinda. While granting the concession of interim anticipatory bail, this Court had noticed the following contentions:- “Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia submits that the petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. He further submits that civil dispute has been given criminal colour. Petitioner is the owner of 12 marlas plot, which has been sold by him to one Rajpal Singh and the said land was bequeathed by mother-in-law of the petitioner, namely, Pritam Kaur in favour of the petitioner vide 'will' dated 16.08.2017 (Annexure P-2) and mutation in this regard was also entered in the name of the petitioner, as is clear from the jamabandi for the years-2019-20 (Annexure P-4). He further submits that respondent No.2-complainant has filed a suit in the month of November, 2011 against the petitioner for permanent injunction with regard to the said property wherein notice was issued to petitioner and Sarabjit Singh i.e. husband of the petitioner for 16.12.2025. He further submits that the petitioner is not involved in any other case and is ready and willing to join the investigation.” 3. Learned counsel for the State has submitted that the petitioner has joined the investigation and is no longer required for further investigation. 4. In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the interim order dated 20.02.2026 is made absolute.
