According to petitioner, if proceedings are not clubbed in that event petitioner will be unnecessarily inconvenienced. 3) Learned advocate representing State respondents has opposed this prayer and has filed communication dated 2nd September, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge of 2 Udaynarayanpur Police Station, Howrah Rural District and same is taken on record. 4) It is disclosed in said communication that two separate proceedings are pending against petitioner, one is Udaynarayanpur Police Station Case No. 122/25 dated 13th September, 2025 under certain provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and another is under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 which is pending before the learned Special Court (PMLA), City Sessions Court, Bankshall, Kolkata. According to State respondents, proceeding under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 is a separate proceeding which is not akin to proceeding which has been drawn up under relevant provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 in connection with Udaynarayanpur Police Station Case No. 122/25 dated 13th September, 2025. 5) Moreover, it is disclosed in said communication that in connection with Udaynarayanpur Police Station Case No. 122/25 dated 13th September, 2025 petitioner was taken into custody and certain steps were taken for recovery of items from inputs provided by petitioner.
