This is an application under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 praying for grant of pre- Page No.# 2/2 arrest bail to the accused/petitioner, namely, Baba Das who is apprehending arrest in connection with the North Lakhimpur P.S. Case No. 406/2025 (corresponding to G.R. Case No.1107/2025), registered under Sections 118(2)/351(2)/351(3) of the BNS, 2023. During the deliberation of the matter, Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam on instruction, submitted that police after completion of investigation of the case has already submitted the charge-sheet in the above mentioned case vide Charge-Sheet No. 23/2026, dated 29.01.2026. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to approach the learned Trial Court below with an appropriate application for his regular bail within fifteen (15) days from today, which shall be disposed of in accordance with the law. Till appearance of the petitioner before the learned Trial Court, the interim order dated 13.02.2026 will continue till 15 days. This bail application stands disposed of accordingly.
