Instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the order dated 17.09.2025 (Annexure P-6), passed by respondent No.4, whereby the petitioner has been dismissed from service by invoking Rule 16.2 of the Punjab Police Rules, 1934, and further for quashing the consequential appellate order dated 03.07.2026 (Annexure P-9), passed by Respondent No.3, whereby the statutory appeal preferred by the petitioner has been dismissed. Further, a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents to reinstate the petitioner in service with continuity of service and all consequential benefits, including restoration of seniority, pay and other service benefits, along with consequential monetary benefits/back wages, as may be found admissible in law. 2.
