The present writ petition has been filed, inter alia, praying for a direction upon the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 24th June, 2026 and release the gratuity and provident fund lying in the petitioner’s name. 3. The petitioner claims that he was recommended for appointment to the post of Assistant Teacher in Subhmaya Surya Naryayn High School (H.S.) by the School Service Commission on 10th September, 2007. Following the aforesaid, he had joined the said school on 15th October, 2007 and his service was approved on 29th November, 2007 by the District Inspector of Schools (S.E) Siliguri. The petitioner claims to have continuously worked in the said school till 17th October, 2019. Subsequently, he was selected and recommended as Assistant Professor in Ramashray Baleshwar College, 2 WPA 1623 of 2026 Dalsinghsarai (Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga) in Bihar. Accordingly, he has tendered his resignation to the school authority on 5th December, 2019, on his joining of the college. The petitioner insists that he is entitled to gratuity for the service rendered by him in the aforesaid school. 4. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties, I am of the view that the petitioner’s representation should be considered and disposed of by the concerned authorities on an expeditious basis preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order by passing a reasoned order. 5. If the petitioner is entitled to any amount on account of gratuity and provident fund, the same must be disbursed on an expeditious basis. 6. With the above observations and directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
