1. Affidavit of service filed in Court today is retained with the record.
2. The instant writ petition has been filed, seeking in effect, for implementation of the order dated 14th February 2025 passed by a Coordinate Bench of this Ourt in WPA 2350 of 2024.
3. The petitioner’s father was an employee of Relling Gram Panchayat and had died in harness on 1st August 2010 at the age of 47. According to the petitioner following his father’s demise, he had submitted an application to the respondent authorities seeking appointment on compassionate ground. However, since the representation was not considered, the petitioner had approached this Court by filing a writ petition being WPA no. 2350 of 2024.

4. Records would reveal that the Coordinate Bench of this Court by order dated 14th February 2025 had directed the respondent no. 7 therein to consider the petitioner’s representation in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of communication of the order.

Mr. Obaidullah, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner has drawn attention of this Court to the communication dated 20th August 2025 issued by the Deputy Secretary, Government of West Bengal, wherein the petitioner was directed to provide the documents indicated therein. According to the petitioner, the petitioner in compliance of the aforesaid direction by letter dated 14th October 2025 submitted all relevant documents. Notwithstanding the aforesaid, the matter is pending at the end of the respondents.

Ms. Singh, learned advocate appearing for the Sate by placing before this Court a communication dated 26th February 2026 submits that the office of the District Magistrate has already forwarded all relevant documents to the office of the Commissioner of Panchayats and Rural Development, Government of West Bengal for taking appropriate action. The matter is now pending at the end of the respondent no.2.
7. Having heard the learned advocates appearing for the respective parties and having considered the materials on record and noting that a Coordinate Bench of this Court, by order dated 14th February 2025, has already

directed the respondent no. 7 to consider and dispose of the petitioner’s representation and the parties having acted on the basis thereon, it would be appropriate at this stage to direct the respondent no. 2 to dispose of the petitioner’s application on an expeditious basis preferably within a period of 4 weeks from the date of communication of this order.
8. With the above observation, the writ petitions are
disposed of.
9. Since, no affidavit has been called for, the allegations made in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted by the respondents.
10. There shall be no order as to costs.
11. The parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
