**** JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The prayer in the present petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondent No.2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of respondent Nos.3 to 7 and to ensure the compliance of Section 179 BNSS (160 Cr.P.C.) in case the presence of the petitioner is required for any purposes.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are aggrieved by the act and conduct of the official respondent who are acting at the behest of private respondent Nos.6 and 7. The petitioners are being called to the Police Station time and again. Therefore, appropriate orders be passed by this Court securing the life and liberty of the petitioners.
3. The learned counsel for the State, on the other hand, has filed a reply dated 02.09.2026 and the same is taken on record. The official respondent Nos.3 to 5 have decided to hand over the complaints for inquiry to be conducted by the Bureau of Investigation. He further contends that the petitioners would only be summoned in accordance with law. 4 In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed by this Court at this stage.
