Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Matter is heard in presence of the learned advocates representing the petitioner and the Union of India. 3. Matter relates to appointment of the petitioner as Constable (G.D.) under Central Armed Police Forces (in short, ‘CAPFs’). At the time of physical measurement test, height of the petitioner was measured as 169.6 cm as a result whereof petitioner was declared not qualified for being considered for appointment in the post of Constable (G.D.) under CAPFs. 4. Learned advocate representing the petitioner relies upon a judgment dated 18th December, 2025 passed on a batch of writ petitions, first one being WPA 26215 of 2025 (Debashis Ghosh vs. Union of India & Ors.) wherein the issue had already been decided by this Court that in the event a candidate’s 2 height is measured in between 169.5 cm and 169.9 cm, the same needs to be rounded off to the next higher centimeter in terms of Clause 2(d) of the Guidelines for Recruitment Medical Examination in Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles which was revised in May, 2015. 5. In view of the judgment of this Court dated 18th December, 2025 passed in Debashis Ghosh (supra), issue involved in this writ petition need not to be dilated further. 6. It is submitted by the learned advocate representing the Union of India that pursuant to the order passed by this Court on 15th December, 2025, petitioner was permitted to participate in medical examination. 7. Concerned respondent authorities are directed to declare the petitioner qualified in terms of height as petitioner’s height was measured as 169.6 cm and take necessary steps for recruitment of the petitioner in the post of Constable (G.D.) under CAPFs provided petitioner is otherwise eligible. 8. Copy of the judgment dated 18th December, 2025 shall be kept with the record duly countersigned by the Assistant Registrar (Court). 3 9. With the above observations and directions writ petition stands disposed of. 10. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon usual undertakings.
