1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of petitioner is taken on record.
2. A case is made out in this writ petition that two police officials of Kalighat Police Station being respondent nos. 6 and 7 are demanding gratification from petitioner and prayer is made for directing concerned police authorities to take steps against those respondent nos. 6 and
7.
3. Mr. Billwadal Bhattacharyya, learned Additional Advocate General represents State respondents has submitted a communication dated 1st September, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Kalighat Police Station and same is taken on record. Learned Additional Advocate General
2 also disputes submission made on behalf of petitioner alleging demand of gratification by respondent nos. 6 and 7.

It is disclosed in the said communication that there is feud amongst members of family which gave rise to an FIR being Kalighat Police Station Case No. 99 of 2026 dated 27th June, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS and the accused is present petitioner. It is also disclosed that investigating officer in aforesaid criminal prosecution could not serve notice under Section 35(3) BNSS to the petitioner being FIR named accused as petitioner left his present address.
5. Conduct of petitioner which is disclosed in communication dated 1st September, 2026 goes to show that he himself is an accused in Kalighat Police Station Case No. 99 of 2026 dated 27th June, 2026 and is not cooperating with the investigation.
6. In aforesaid context, Court is not inclined to give credence on allegation made by the petitioner against respondent nos. 6 and 7. Moreover, no complaint is made against higher police officials against respondent nos. 6 and
7.

7. In view of aforesaid scenario present writ petition is not interfered with and same stands dismissed.
8. However this order shall not preclude the petitioner to make representation before appropriate police authorities alleging conduct of respondent nos. 6 and 7.
