The petitioners are aggrieved by the action of the respondents in not releasing the payments for the works i.e., "Construction of new parks in Vijayawada city - lenin center, lotus park vacant space, Radha Nagar Park Agreement No.39 /2020-21, dt:28.07.2020" for an amount of Rs.14,97,475/- with interest @ 24% per annum. 2. The learned Counsel for Petitioner submits that the Petitioner has completed the assigned works and thereafter submitted bills and the bills were approved by the 2nd respondent and have submitted the final bills. The competent respondent authority has also accepted the works conducted and quality control certificate is also issued. The Petitioner has submitted the Bill form on 28.06.2024 which is also accepted and endorsed by the competent respondents. However, the respondents have not released the bills due payable to the petitioner. 3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned learned Standing Counsel for the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation 4. During the course of hearing, on written instructions learned Standing Counsel for Respondent No.2 submits that the petitioner has completed the works and the petitioner was awarded the work at 4.99% 4 HN,J. W.P.No. 16020 of 2026 22.06.2026. excess over than the ECV value under agreement was entered with the petitioner. It is also admitted in the instructions that the bill for Rs.14,69,170/- has been prepared. However, the same could not be processed due to non- availability of the adequate funds. It is also stated in the instructions that the bills due payable to the petitioner shall be cleared as soon as the funds are released. 5. Considering the submissions, the concerned respondents are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioners as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.
