The petitioner is an accused in connection with Chandwa P.S. Case No. 161 of 2025 (G.R. No. 26 of 2026). It has been alleged that miscreants had set ablaze a hyva at Tori Coal Siding and threat was given that if the levy is not paid, work will be completely stopped. The petitioner seems to have been implicated on self confession and he is in custody since 28.11.2025. It also appears that one of the co-accused Shankar Kumar Mahato has been granted bail in BA No. 1684 of 2026. Learned A.P.P. though has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner, but has not disputed the aforesaid facts. Regard being had to the above, the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Latehar in connection with Chandwa P.S.
