Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a show cause notice dated 10/09/2026 was issued to the petitioner alleging that the experience certificate, on the basis of which the order of appointment had been issued in his favour, was a concocted document. The petitioner submitted a reply to the said notice and, thereafter, moved an application before the authority concerned seeking some further time to submit a detailed explanation, as he had already applied for certain documents under the Right to Information Act, 2005, which have been annexed by the petitioner as Annexure P-3 dated 18/09/2026.
Learned counsel further submits that an application seeking extension of time was also filed before the authority concerned on 18/09/2026. However, on the very same day, the authority who had issued the show cause notice rejected the said
3 application and directed the petitioner to submit his reply to the show cause notice issued on 10/09/2026, without granting any further time to the petitioner. Learned counsel, therefore, seeks a direction upon the respondents to grant some extension of time to the petitioner to submit his reply to the aforesaid show cause notice
3. Learned State counsel submits that, looking to the limited prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner, a further period of three weeks will be granted to the petitioner for submission of his reply to the show cause notice.
4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties, perused the documents and pleadings.
5. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the respondents, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to grant a further period of three weeks from today to the petitioner to submit his reply to the show cause notice dated 10/09/2026 (Annexure P-4). The petitioner be at liberty to apprise the authority concerned of the
order passed by this Court today itself.
