The petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with A.C.B. P.S. Case No.09 of 2017 (Vigilance Case No.10 of 2017) for the alleged offences registered under Sections 406, 409, 419, 420, 467, 468, 120(B) and 506/34 of the I.P.C. and Section 13(2) read with 13(1)(c)(d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, pending in the Court of learned Spl. Judge (ACB) Palamu, Daltonganj. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the allegation has been made for payment of excess amount of Road project allotted to M/s Lotus Construction. He submits that co- accused Uday Kumar Mehta being Assistant Engineer of Rural Works Department, Daltonganj has been granted regular bail by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in B.A. No.5831 of 2023 and now the chargesheet has already been submitted. He also submits that the -2- petitioner is in custody since 16.12.2025. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the ACB-State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the petitioner in connivance with other Engineers have received excess payment. 5. Considering that the same allegation has been made in connivance with Assistant Engineer, who has been granted regular bail by the Co-ordinate Bench in the aforesaid B.A. and the petitioner is in custody since 16.12.2025 and chargesheet has been submitted, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the petitioner, above named, shall be released on regular bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Spl.
