……Petitioner. Mr. Mujibar Ali Naskar Mr. S. Mondal Ms. Rithika Yadav
.....for the Petitioner. Mr. Subhajit Chatterjee Ms. Sharmistha Das
……for the State.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. Petitioner was arrested on 02.09.2025 and since then he is in custody. Learned advocate appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that although the case is based on circumstantial evidence but there have been recoveries on the basis of leading statement of the present petitioner. Having regard to the stage of the case and the recoveries which have been made, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting bail at this stage. As such, prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (M) 1696 of 2026 is dismissed.
2 Memo of evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
