In terms of order dated 14th July, 2026 a communication dated 4th August, 2026 of Inspector-in- Charge, Chakdah Police Station is filed today and same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication is made over to learned advocate representing petitioner. 2. It is disclosed in the said communication dated 4th August, 2026 that there are several criminal prosecutions pending, out of which Chakdah P.S. Case no.1343 of 2025 dated 8th November, 2025 is registered under POCSO Act. 3. It is submitted on behalf of State respondents that in Chakdah P.S. Case no.1343 of 2025 husband and wife are accused persons. However, charge-sheet dated 30th January, 2026 was filed against husband and steps have been taken for discharge of wife. 4. In view of filing of charge-sheet in Chakdah P.S. Case no.1343 of 2025 dated 8th November, 2025, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and same is disposed of. [2] 5. However, liberty is granted to petitioner to approach jurisdictional Magistrate, in accordance with law, if so advised. 6. Concerned police authorities are directed to provide protection to the petitioner, if occasion so arises. 7.
