Vivek Singh Thakur, Judge [Oral] The petitioner has approached this Court for grant of two additional increments for completion of 20 years service period as Conductor without promotion. 2. Representation of the petitioner for grant of aforesaid benefit has been rejected. Now this petition has been filed seeking direction to respondents for payment of additional increment for completion of 20 years after setting aside rejection order passed by the respondents-Corporation in the representation 1 Whether reporters of Local Papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2026:HHC:6242 - 2 - preferred by petitioner. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents-Corporation has placed on record instructions dated 07.03.2026 issued by Regional Manager, Rohroo, to all Divisional Managers and all Regional Managers of the Corporation, whereby, it has been informed that the Corporation has decided to grant two additional increments to Conductors upon completion of 20 years of regular service without any promotion to the next higher post. 4. Under instructions, it has been submitted by the learned counsel appearing for the respondents-Corporation that grievance of the petitioner stands redressed as the Corporation itself has decided to grant and release two additional increments not only to the petitioner but to all similar situated Conductors. To substantiate the aforesaid plea, learned counsel for respondents- Corporation has also placed on record communication dated 07.03.2026 sent by Regional Manager, Rohroo to Managing Director, Himachal Road Transport Corporation, Shimla, whereby it has 2026:HHC:6242 - 3 - been informed that benefit of two additional increments after completion of 20 years of regular service has been allowed to the petitioner vide order dated 06.03.2026. 5. In view of above nothing survives to be adjudicated. No further order is required to be passed except directing the respondents-Corporation to ensure payment of arrears on account of aforesaid grant in terms of communication dated 20.12.2025 and release of two additional increments to the petitioner on or before 31.05.2026 in terms of decision of the Corporation transmitted vide communication dated 07.03.2026 placed on record by the learned counsel for the respondents- Corporation.
