Respondents (cause title downloaded from CIS Periphery) For Applicant : Mr. Shikhar Agnihotri, Advocate. For Respondents : - (Hon’ble Shri Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi ) RUKHSAR BANO Digitally signed by RUKHSAR BANO Date: 2026.10.01 16:14:03 +0530 2 Order on Board 30/09/2026 1. Heard on admission. 2. This Criminal Revision has been preferred by the applicant under Section 19(4) of the Family Courts Act, 1984, challenging the legality and propriety of the impugned order dated 08.08.2026 passed by the learned III Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Raipur (CG) in Case No.1346/2025 (Sandhya Mishra and Others vs. Sandeep Kumar Mishra), whereby total monthly interim maintenance of Rs.15,000/- has been awarded in favour of the respondents (wife and daughters), i.e. Rs.7,000/- per month to the respondent/wife and Rs.4,000/- per month each of the daughters. 3. Learned counsel for the applicant submits that the applicant was earlier working as a Project Research Associate at IIT Bombay, but he was relieved from the aforesaid job w.e.f. 30.04.2026, vide Annexure A-5. Therefore, as of now, the applicant/husband is unemployed. He further submits that although the applicant owns about 3 acres of agricultural land in Satna District, but the annual income from the said agricultural land is only Rs.72,000/-. He has no other source of income. Therefore, awarding total interim maintenance of Rs.15,000/- per month in favour of the respondents is on the higher side. Hence, he prays that the maintenance amount may suitably be reduced. 4. As per the maintenance application filed by the respondents (wife and daughters), there are three respondents in total. The daughters are school- going children, aged about 10 years and 8 years. It appears from the record that the applicant is a well-educated person and also has agriculture income. He has not filed any affidavit disclosing his movable and immovable properties. 3 5. Having regard to the price index and the cost of living prevailing at present, the grant of interim maintenance of a total amount of Rs.15,000/- per month in favour of the respondents cannot be said to be on the higher side. 6. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to admit the present Criminal Revision. Hence, the same is dismissed at the motion stage. 7. Pending interlocutory application(s), if any, stands disposed of. No order as to cost(s). Sd/- (Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi) Judge Rukhsar
