The present contempt case has been filed for initiating contempt proceeding against the opposite party no. 2 for wilful and deliberate disobedience of the order dated 11.02.2025 passed in W.P. (C) No. 6704 of 2024. 2. I.A. No. 526 of 2026 has been filed on behalf of the opposite party no. 2. 3. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the State points out that the order dated 09.07.2025 passed by the opposite party no. 2 in G.L. Case No. 49 of 2018 rejecting the petitioner’s application seeking arm licence was filed along with the show cause affidavit dated 23.07.2025 as Annexure-A to the same. The said fact could not be earlier pointed out by the State counsel, as a result of which the said fact could not be mentioned in the order dated 06.11.2025. Otherwise also, since the opposite party no. 2 2026:JHHC:1113 2 has already passed the order dated 09.07.2025 rejecting the petitioner’s application seeking arm lincence, the aforesaid order of this Court has been complied. 4. As against this, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the opposite party no. 2 has arbitrarily and illegally rejected the petitioner’s said application seeking arm licence. 5. Be that as it may. 6. Since pursuant to the aforesaid order of this Court, the opposite party no. 2 has already passed an order on the petitioner’s application seeking arm licence, there is no need to further proceed in the matter. The contempt proceeding as against the opposite party no. 2 is hereby dropped. 7. The present contempt case stands disposed of. 8. The petitioner is, however, at liberty to take appropriate recourse as permissible under law against the order dated 09.07.2025 passed by the opposite party no. 2 in G.L. Case No. 49 of 2018. 9. I.A.
