D/L253 31.08.2026 Bpg. C.R.M. (M) 1516 of 2026 In Re: An application for Bail under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Alipore Police Station Case No.21 of 2026 dated 16.01.2026 under Sections 61(2)/336(2)/338/340(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025; Sadik Abubakar Ibrahim @ Sadik Ibrahim Abubakar Versus The State of West Bengal Mr. Sourav Mondal Mr. Arijit Bhuiya Mr. Rony Mondal. ...for the petitioner. Mr. Pinaki Bhattacharyya. …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner entered India with a proper visa. However, since the visa expired he applied for extension and, during the pendency of the same, the petitioner was arrested in connection with the instant case. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that the documents which were submitted were manufactured documents. For the present, I have referred to a common document relating to e-FRRO. The document has been relied upon by the petitioner and the document is available in the case diary. However, 2 there are deviations in the contents which do at the present substantiate the contention of the State. As such, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM(M)1516 of 2026 is dismissed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
