And In the matter of : Apajit Sarkar ……Petitioner. Mr. Arup Kumar Bhowmick ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Priyankar Ganguly Ms. Shalini Bairagi ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that there has been recovery of 402 bottles of Phensedyl in the present case and out of the same, only 54 bottles were recovered from the present petitioner. Petitioner was arrested on 16.01.2026 and till date he is in custody. State has opposed the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the report which has been submitted by the State. The report reflects that there are six other cases against the petitioner which includes attempt to dacoity, Arms Act. 2 Having considered the criminal antecedents of the present petitioner, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, prayer for bail of the petitioner in CRM (NDPS) 1818 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of Evidence submitted be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
