1. The petitioner has filed the instant petition for following reliefs:-
“10.1 To call for the records of the case for the kind perusal of this Hon’ble Court. 10.2 To issue an appropriate writ or order and direct the respondent No.4 to restore the petitioner electricity connection of B.P. No.1007858962 domestic meter till the disposal of Case no.38/2025 pending before learned Sp. Judge (Electricity Act) and 5th A.S.J. Raipur, District – Raipur, C.G. 10.3 Any other relief/order which may be suitable in the
facts and circumstances of the case, may also be granted.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the electricity connection has been disconnected by the electricity department/Respondent No.4 and a proceeding has already been initiated under the Electricity Act before the concerned Special Judge under Electricity Act i.e. 5th A.S.J. Raipur, which is pending for consideration. However, due to disconnection of the electricity, the petitioner is facing hardship as such the petitioner has filed this petition with a direction to the respondent authorities to connect the electricity connection, till the pendency of the case before the Special Judge under the Electricity Act. He further submits that he will deposit 50% of the amount of electricity bill
3 and on that condition the electricity department may be directed to connect the electricity.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that if the petitioner deposited 50% of the remaining amount, total bill amount of Rs.3,56,280/-, the electricity connection will be restored, however it will be subject to the final outcome of the pending case before the concerned Special Judge under the Electricity Act.
4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.

Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present petition and the respondent authorities are directed to restore the electricity connection to the petitioner’s house, subject to the petitioner depositing 50% of the total outstanding bill amount of Rs. 3,56,280/-. If the petitioner deposits the aforesaid 50% amount on the same date, the electricity connection shall be restored forthwith. It is further directed that, upon deposit of the aforesaid 50% amount before the concerned Assistant Engineer, Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Ltd.,/Respondent No. 4, the receipt evidencing such deposit shall be filed before the concerned Court.
