This MCC is filed for restoration of Contempt Case (C) No. 825/2026, which came to be treated as dismissed by the 3 Registry vide note sheet dated 08.09.2026 for non- compliance of the defects pointed out by the Registry within the time granted by this Court vide order dated 01.07.2026. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that Contempt Case (C) No. 825/2026 was listed before this Court on 01.07.2026 as a default matter, whereupon one week's time was granted to cure the defects pointed out by the Registry, failing which the petition was to stand dismissed without further reference to the Bench. It is submitted that the petitioners were required to furnish a fresh Vakalatnama of the concerned party whose signature was not available on the Vakalatnama already filed. However, the petitioners could not furnish the fresh Vakalatnama within the stipulated period and, consequently, the petition came to be treated as dismissed by the Registry vide note sheet dated 08.09.2026. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that the petitioners are ready and willing to cure the aforesaid defect and pray that the contempt case be restored, subject 4 to compliance of the default within a further period of one week. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the applicant and perused the material available on record. 5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the explanation furnished by the petitioners, this Court is satisfied that sufficient cause has been shown for restoration of Contempt Case (C) No. 825/2026. The non- compliance appears to be bona fide and inadvertent. 6. Accordingly, this MCC is allowed. The order whereby Contempt Case (C) No. 825/2026 was treated as dismissed for non-compliance of the Registry defects is recalled. Contempt Case (C) No. 825/2026 is restored to its original number, subject to the petitioners curing the defects pointed out by the Registry within a period of ten days from today. 7.
