Pursuant to a no confidence motion submitted by the petitioners who are members of Boroi Gram Panchayat, for removal of Pradhan of the Panchayat, the Prescribed Authority, by a notice issued on 20th August, 2026 fixed the date of meeting on 2nd September, 2026. The petitioners seek a direction upon the police authority to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority so that the meeting is held without any hindrance. In view of the above, the Inspector in Charge, Harishchandrapur Police Station, being the 8th respondent herein, is directed to render necessary assistance to the Prescribed Authority so that the meeting scheduled on 2nd September, 2026 is held peacefully without any disturbance from any corner whatsoever. The police authority shall ensure safe 2 passage of the members to the venue so that they are able to cast their votes safely and independently. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, allegations contained in the writ petition shall be deemed not to have been admitted.
