Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 1 year 10 months and some time will be required to take the trial to its logical conclusion. State submits that the evidence of the investigating officer has been fixed. Be that as it may, having regard to the period of detention of the present petitioner, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed. Accordingly, the petitioner, namely, Soumit @ Shoumit Halder shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of 2 Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Kalyani, Nadia. If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date before the learned trial court and shall not leave the district of Nadia without the prior permission of the learned trial court. Additionally, the petitioner shall meet with the investigating officer of the case till the final arguments are completed in connection with the instant case before the learned trial court. With the aforesaid observations, CRM(M)1502 of 2026 is allowed. Memo of Evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
