The learned Registrar General of this Court has already received the communication from the alleged contemnor dated July 31, 2026 wherefrom it appears that the relevant scheme for compassionate appointment does not provide for appointment of a brother or sister on the ground of disability/incapacitation of the original employee. Accordingly, the writ petitioner Gopal Roy having found ineligible and is not entitled to receive 2 compassionate appointment and his claim for compassionate appointment has been rejected. The report further shows that copy of the reasoned order has already been communicated to the writ petitioner through e-mail and a copy of the reasoned order has also been served upon the brother of the writ petitioner since the petitioner was absent when the Special Messenger went to deliver the physical copy of the order. In view of the above, nothing further survives in this contempt application since the reasoned order has already been passed. This Court cannot examine the correctness of the reasoned order in contempt jurisdiction. Accordingly, this contempt proceeding being CPAN 1806 of 2025 stands dropped and closed, since the direction has been complied with. The application being CPAN 1806 of 2026 stand disposed of.
