ORAL ORDER
1. Learned Additional Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents.
2. Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a writ in the nature of Certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, SETTING ASIDE the notice bearing No.06/MAJ/GADIPARU/DCP/E-CT/2026 dated 07.08.2026, issued by Respondent No.2 under Section 58 of the Karnataka Police Act, 1963, produced at ANNEXURE-A, initiated pursuant thereto;
b. Issue a writ or appropriate direction declaring that initiation of proceedings for externment of the Petitioner merely on the basis of the criminal cases referred to in the impugned notice, in the absence of tangible, current and proximate material

satisfying the requirements of Section 55 of the Karnataka Police Act, is arbitrary, illegal and unconstitutional; c. Pass such other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.
3. After arguing for sometime, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the above petition, with liberty to reply to the show cause notice dated 07.08.2026 at Annexure-A.
4. Reserving such liberty and permitting the petitioner to reply to the said show cause notice on or before 29.08.2026, the petition stands disposed.
5. If such reply is submitted on or before 29.08.2026, the respondents are directed to consider the said reply and pass necessary orders in accordance with law.
