Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has preferred the present petition seeking a direction to the respondents for fixation of his pay scale in accordance with law, by taking the initial date of his appointment into consideration for such fixation. He submits that the petitioner has already submitted a representation before the competent authority, which has been filed as Annexure P-3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition may be disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to pursue the representation pending before respondent No. 3. He further submits that respondent No. 3 may be directed to consider and decide the representation submitted by the petitioner by passing a reasoned and speaking order within a stipulated period. 2. Learned State counsel submits that, in view of the limited relief sought by the petitioner, if the representation submitted by the petitioner is still pending before the competent authority, the same shall be considered and decided by 3 passing a reasoned and speaking order within a stipulated period. 3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents appended to the writ petition. 4. In view of the submissions made by learned counsel for the parties, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 3 to consider and decide the said representation by passing a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of 50 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
