The petitioner is presently posted as Secretary, Gram Panchayat. He was initially posted at Gram Panchayat Taraigaon, Janpad Panchayat Gaurella, District Gaurella- Pendra-Marwahi (C.G.). The petitioner was placed under suspension vide order dated 03.07.2026. Subsequently, the said order of suspension was kept in abeyance by the Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, vide order dated 07.09.2026, and the petitioner has thereafter been posted at Village Panchayat Bhaskura, Janpad Panchayat Marwahi, District Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi (C.G.), which, according to the petitioner, is situated at a distance of approximately 50 kilometres from his earlier place of posting. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 11.09.2026 (Annexure P/7) before the Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi, seeking his posting at a nearer place, preferably at Village Panchayat Taraigaon. He submits 3 that the said representation is still pending consideration. At this stage, the petitioner seeks a limited direction to the concerned authority for consideration and expeditious disposal of the said representation in accordance with law. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the State as well as respondent No. 4 has no objection to the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 4. Considering the limited relief sought by the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Chief Executive Officer, Zila Panchayat, Gaurella-Pendra-Marwahi, to consider and decide the petitioner's representation dated 11.09.2026 (Annexure P/7), if the same is still pending, in accordance with law and the applicable rules/policy, by passing a reasoned and speaking order, preferably within a period of 30 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim for posting at any particular place, and the competent authority shall consider the representation independently in accordance with law. 4 6.
