The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the respondent No. 2, The Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Pathergudda has failed and neglected to consider the application of the writ petitioner for grant of electricity connection. 3. In the facts and circumstances this Court is of the view that no fruitful purpose will be served in keeping the writ petition pending and directing the respondents to file affidavits. 4. Thus this writ application is disposed of by directing the respondent No.2, Assistant Engineer, Electricity Department, Pathergudda to consider and decide the application of the writ petitioner for grant of electricity connection marked Annexure P 2 to the writ petition in accordance with law upon giving the writ petitioner and his learned advocate an opportunity of being heard. Such consideration and decision shall be made at an 2 early date and preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order. 5.
