Kashyap, learned senior counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was thrice rejected in B.A. No.4839 of 2023, B.A. No.2651 of 2024 and B.A. No.4133 of 2025. Renewing the prayer for bail of the petitioner, learned senior counsel for the petitioner submits that all the 12 charge sheet witnesses have been examined by the prosecution but there has been no progress in trial since October 2025 as on one pretext or the other the prosecution is taking time. Learned senior counsel further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 01.12.2021. Learned A.P.P has opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. The allegation reveals that the deceased was knifed by the petitioner and considering the specific nature of allegations the prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected on three occasions. Though it has been submitted by learned senior counsel for the petitioner that all the charge sheet witnesses have been examined but in spite of the same the trial is not progressing; however, regard being had to the nature of allegations leveled against the petitioner and that the trial is on the verge of closure, I am not inclined to reconsider the prayer for bail of the petitioner which stands rejected once again at this stage.
