This petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.5 to 15 and not to harass the petitioners and to direct the official respondents to ensure the security of life and liberty of the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that they being majors have solemnized marriage with their own consent in accordance with law. However, the private respondents are not accepting the marriage of the petitioners and are extending threats to them. The copies of 'Aadhaar' cards (Annexures P-1 and P-2) of petitioners No.1 and 2 have been placed on record.
