The case of the petitioner is that he had joined the respondent Transport Corporation on 22.08.1990 and after rendering several years of service, retired from service on 30.06.2018 on attaining the age of superannuation. However, the terminal benefits, namely, earned leave and surrender leave salary have been settled to the petitioner only on 26.02.2026 and no interest has been paid for the delayed period. That apart, the petitioner is also entitled to a sum of Rs.18,500/- towards STERBS (State Transport Employees Retirement Benefit Scheme), as admitted by the respondent in the RTI reply dated 27.03.2026.
