JUSTICE VENKATESH NAIK T ORAL ORDER Learned counsel for the petitioner filed a memo stating that the petitioner undertakes to deposit the remaining fine amount of Rs.5,48,274/- (Rupees Five Lakh Forty-Eight Thousand Two Hundred and Seventy-Four only) within two weeks from today. The contents of memo reads as under: "The petitioner above named most humbly submits that both the court below have convicted the petitioner for the offence Punishable Under Section 138 of N.I.Act and sentenced to pay a fine of Rs.9,14,274/-and incase of default he shall undergo S.I for 6 months. The petitioner has deposited the 20% of fine amount of Rs.1,83,000/-, before the trial court on 20/05/2024 and another 20% of fine amount of Rs.1,83,000/- on 29/09/2025. In total he has deposited the fine amount of Rs.3,66,000/-. The petitioner undertake that he will deposit the remaining fine amount of Rs.5,48,274 ( five lakh forty- eight thousand two hundred seventy-four) within Two - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010591072025 NC: 2026:KHC:45753 CRL.RP No. 1333 of 2025 weeks from today. By allowing this memo in the interest of justice." 2. In view of the undertaking given in the memo, the Criminal Revision Petition is disposed of. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he has no objection to disbursement of the amount in favour of the respondent. 4. If the petitioner fails to deposit the remaining amount before the trial Court within two weeks from today, the respondent is at liberty to proceed against the petitioner in accordance with law.
