...Respondent(s)
CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE TRIBHUVAN DAHIYA
Present: Mr. Man Mohan, Advocate
for the petitioner.
Ms. Saigeeta Srivastava, Advocate
for respondent no.1/UOI.
Ms. Aarushi Garg, Advocate
for respondent no.2 and 3/SBI.
TRIBHUVAN DAHIYA, J. (ORAL)
The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the respondents/SBI Bank to defreeze/re-activate the petitioner’s current account bearing no.65099330338, with its branch at Bawani Khera, District Bhiwani.
2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the aforesaid account has been frozen without any intimation to the petitioner, which is running a petrol pump. The account has been in operation for more than a decade as its main business account, and no objection concerning the same has ever been raised by the Bank. Its sudden closure has severely impacted its business and caused losses on daily basis.

3.
Despite availing several opportunities, the respondents have not been able to come up with any response/affidavit, nor has any document been placed on record which justifies freezing of the petitioner’s account.
4.
The petition, accordingly, stands disposed of directing the respondent/Bank to defreeze/unblock the said current account of the petitioner within three days of receiving a certified copy of this order.
