HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010474082026 NC: 2026:KHC:46096 CRL.P No. 10229 of 2026 C/W CRL.P No. 10380 of 2026 ORAL ORDER Accused Nos.1 and 2 in Crime No. 61/2026 registered by the Sadashivanagara Police Station, Bangalore, for the offences punishable under Sections 61(2), 123, 109(1), 308(2), 351(2), 238(c) read with Section 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as 'BNS, 2023' for short) and Section 66-E, 66-C of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (for short the 'IT Act') are before this Court in these two criminal petitions filed under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No. 61/2026 was registered by Sadashivanagara Police Station, Bangalore, for the aforesaid offences against petitioners herein and others based on the first information dated 16.06.2026 received from Sri. Uday Kumar Reddy who is the alleged victim in the present case. 4. During the course of investigation, petitioners herein who are arraigned as accused Nos. 1 and 2 in the FIR were arrested on 18.06.2026. Their bail application filed before

Therefore, they are before this Court in these two petitions. 5. A reading of FIR dated 16.06.2026 submitted by the alleged victim would go to show that he is an advocate by profession and he was earlier handling criminal cases of Sri. Srinivas Reddy, husband of accused No.1. In the first information, it is alleged that after Sri. Srinivas Reddy was released on bail in the criminal cases registered against him. 6. In the year 2021 accused no. 1 had summoned the first informant to her house. When the first informant went to the house of accused No.1, she allegedly gave him coffee and after consuming the same, he had lost his consciousness. Subsequently he had returned home. Thereafter, accused No. 1 allegedly threatened the first informant stating that she had his nude photos and videos of having sex with her. She also allegedly threatened him of circulating the said videos in social media and started making demands. Therefore, the first informant allegedly took her as a partner in his business.
Subsequently, she demanded to transfer the property bearing

No. 31/8 measuring 1 acre, situated at Kothanur, which stood in the name of the first informant in her name and she also allegedly made a demand for Rs.2.00 crores. 7. In the month of February, 2026 she allegedly had given him ice cream and after consuming the same, he felt giddy and therefore, he had returned home. Thereafter he has been facing serious health issues and he has been continuously taking treatment. On 21.03.2026, accused No.1 on the guise of giving the first informant lift in her car bearing registration No. KA 03 NU-3135 once again gave him ice cream and after consuming the same, he started losing his consciousness and therefore he called his friend over phone and went to the hospital. 8. On 28.05.2026 he had gone to the house of accused No.1 and she had informed him that his mobile phone was hacked. Subsequently, he was informed by one Arjun, driver of accused No.1 that accused No.1 was feeding some drugs to him. It is under these circumstances the first informant had approached the police alleging that an attempt

Accused Nos. 1 and 2 were arrested on 18.06.2026 Investigation of the case is now completed and charge sheet is filed. 9. It is not in dispute that petitioners do not have any criminal antecedents. Accused No.1 is a married lady. Considering the nature of allegations found against accused persons in the charge sheet which is now filed, I am of the opinion that the prayer for grant of regular bail needs to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following:
ORDER The criminal petitions are allowed. The petitioners are
directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No. 61/2026 registered by the Sadashivanagara Police Station, Bangalore, for the offences punishable under Sections 61(2), 123, 109(1), 308(2), 238(c), 351(2), read with Section 3(5) of the BNS, 2023 and Section 66-E, 66-C of the IT Act, subject to the following conditions:

HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010474082026 NC: 2026:KHC:46096 CRL.P No. 10229 of 2026 C/W CRL.P No. 10380 of 2026 a) The petitioners shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) each with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court; b) The petitioners shall appear regularly on all the date of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts their appearance for valid reasons; c) The petitioners shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses; d) The petitioners shall not involve in similar offences in future; e) The petitioners shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against them is disposed of.
