Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been facing a departmental enquiry since 08.01.2025 pursuant to the charge-sheet issued against him in respect of the alleged act committed in the year 2019. It is submitted that out of five witnesses, four witnesses have already been examined; however, one of the witnesses is not appearing in the departmental enquiry despite issuance of notices to him.
Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that on account of pendency of the departmental enquiry, the petitioner is being deprived of consideration for promotion. He, therefore, prays that the respondents may be directed to conclude the departmental enquiry within a stipulated period.

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent/State, submits
3 that the departmental enquiry pending against the petitioner shall be concluded by the competent authority within a period of two months.
3. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.

Considering the submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents/competent authority to conclude the departmental enquiry pending against the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The petitioner shall be at liberty to apprise the disciplinary authority about the order passed by this Court.
6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. Sd/-
