Accused in Crime No. 564 of 2024 registered by Byadarahalli Police Station, Bengaluru City for offences punishable under Sections 354(A)(2), 354(B) & 506 of IPC, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.564 of 2024 was registered by Byadarahalli Police Station, Bengaluru City for the aforesaid offences against petitioner herein based on the first information dated 28.08.2024 received from the victim girl, aged 23 years. Apprehending arrest in the case, petitioner had filed Crl.Misc.No.2363 of 2025 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court was rejected on 11.12.2025. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. First informant who is the alleged victim in the present case has stated in the first information dated 28.08.2024, that the petitioner was staying on lease in a - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010532702026 NC: 2026:KHC:47005 CRL.P No. 11774 of 2026 premises belonging to her family. Since he was acquainted to her and her family, she had gone to his office on March, 2024 for the purpose of taking printout of certain documents, at that time, petitioner allegedly had misbehaved with her inside the office and kissed her. Subsequently, he had threatened of defaming her by uploading her private photos online. In respect of the alleged incident that had taken place on 24.04.2024, belatedly, first information was submitted on 28.08.2024. Investigation of the case is completed and charge sheet has been filed in the present case on 12.06.2025 itself. 5. A reading of the charge sheet material would also go to show that the petitioner has cooperated with the police for the purpose of investigation. Since the petitioner is now apprehending arrest, considering the nature of allegation found against him and the fact that he has cooperated with the police for the purpose of investigation, I am of the opinion that his prayer for grant of anticipatory bail needs to be answered affirmatively. (ii) The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioner in the event of his arrest in Crime No. 564 of 2024 registered by Byadarahalli Police Station, Bengaluru City for offences punishable under Sections 354(A)(2), 354(B) & 506 of IPC, subject to the following conditions: 1. The petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer in the present case within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order on executing a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer/jurisdictional Court. 2. The petitioner shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3.
