THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: CORAM: HON'BLE MR. VIBHU BAKHRU, CHIEF JUSTICE and HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE C.M. POONACHA ORAL ORDER (PER: HON'BLE MR. VIBHU BAKHRU, CHIEF JUSTICE) 1. The complainants have filed the present complaint alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 28.03.2024 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in W.P.No.5793/2024 (LB-BMP) [impugned order]. 2. The complainants have filed the said petition praying that directions be issued to the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike [BBMP] and the Assistant Revenue Officer to issue Katha extract in respect of the land falling in Sy.No.61/1A1 of Gubbalala village, Uttarahalli Hobli, Bengaluru South Taluk. The complainants also sought directions for the respondents to consider their representation dated 25.05.2021. The said petition was allowed in terms of the order dated 28.03.2024. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:21043-DB CCC No. 1207 of 2025 3. A plain reading of the said order indicates that the controversy was centered around the question whether the subject land had been acquired. The learned Single Judge noticed that the acquisition proceedings were the subject matter of the writ petition (W.P.No.52251/2019(LA-BDA)), and which was allowed by an order dated 02.12.2020, declaring that the acquisition proceedings issued by the Bengaluru Development Authority [BDA] have been lapsed. 4. In view of the above, the learned Single Judge allowed the writ petition (W.P.No.5793/2024(LB-BMP)), with liberty to the petitioners to file a certified copy of the order along with a representation and request for appropriate orders. 5. The accused has filed an affidavit of compliance enclosing therewith an endorsement dated 26.02.2026, which indicates that the complainants representation was considered. The complainants have been advised to file an online application along with a conversion order in terms of the circular dated 03.10.2024. 6. In view of the above, the present complaint is closed. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:21043-DB CCC No. 1207 of 2025 7. We, however, clarify that this order would not preclude the complainants from availing any remedy aggrieved by the endorsement dated 26.02.2026. 8. All rights and contentions of parties in that regard are reserved. Sd/- (VIBHU BAKHRU) CHIEF JUSTICE Sd/- (C.M. POONACHA) JUDGE KMV List No.: 1 Sl No.: 3
