Accused in Crime No.225 of 2026 registered by Koramangala Police Station, Bengaluru City for the offence punishable under Section 311 of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.225 of 2026 was registered by Koramangala Police Station, Bengaluru City for the aforesaid offence against unknown person, based on the first information dated 07.07.2026 received from Sanjay, who is the injured victim in the present case. During the course of investigation, the petitioner was arrested on 07.07.2026 and subsequently remanded to judicial

custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.6819 of 2026 was rejected on 16.07.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. In the first information which is submitted on 07.07.2026 at about 19.30 hours, it is stated that the victim had consumed alcohol at about 01.30 p.m., in Ganapathi bar and restaurant at Koramangala. Subsequently at about 09.00 p.m., he had once again gone to the said bar and restaurant and consumed alcohol. Thereafter, when he was standing outside the bar and restaurant, a stranger who had approached him, demanded money and his mobile phone, when he refused, the said stranger allegedly snatched sum of Rs.2,200/- and his mobile phone and thereafter assaulted him, causing injuries. In respect of the alleged incident that had taken place at about 09.00 p.m., on 06.07.2026, first information is belatedly filed on 07.07.2026 at about 19.30 hours. - 4 -

5. Learned High Court Government Pleader has produced the wound certificate of the alleged victim, which would go to show that he has suffered only simple injuries in the incident in question. 6. Perusal of the said document would go to show that injured victim was taken to the hospital on 06.07.2026, immediately after the incident by the police in a Government ambulance. However, the FIR has been registered belatedly in the present case. 7. It is not in dispute that the petitioner has no other criminal antecedents.
Under the circumstances, I am of the opinion that the prayer made by the petitioner for grant of regular bail needs to be answered affirmatively, subject to appropriate conditions. Accordingly, the following:
O R D E R
The Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioner is
directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.225 of 2026

registered by Koramangala Police Station, Bengaluru City for the offence punishable under Section 311 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions:
a) The petitioner shall execute personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court;
b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons;
c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses;
