The petitioner-detenu-Murthy (CTP No.00557) is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a Writ of certiorari or other appropriate writ or order seeking to quash the Endorsement dated 12-06-2026 issued by Respondent No.2 in Letter No.KEKAMBE/J3/1427/2026 vide ANNEXURE-B and consequently, to direct Respondent No.2 to release the Petitioner on general parole for a period of 90 days. b. Pass any such other order/s as this Hon'ble Court deems fit under the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity. 2. The detenu had been convicted for the offence under Section 6 of the POCSO Act and sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for life, meaning imprisonment for the remainder of his natural life. The petitioner has only undergone 4 years 7 months - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010471812026 NC: 2026:KHC:44886 WP No. 21610 of 2026 and 2 days of the said sentence. In view of the same, the application is premature, particularly when the imprisonment is for the rest of natural life. 3.
