Mazumdar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner. Also heard Mr. N. Upadhyay, learned Standing Counsel, Irrigation Department, Assam. 2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a registered contractor in Irrigation Department, Assam and he has executed some contractual works under the Executive Engineer, Mongoldoi Division (Irrigation) (respondent no. 4), in the District of Darrang, Assam. For the aforesaid completion of the work, the petitioner has submitted bills amounting to Rs. 18,34,412/-. However, out of the aforesaid due amount, the respondent authorities had paid him an amount of Rs. 8,21,838/- and the remaining amount of Rs. 10,12,574/- is yet to be paid to the petitioner. The petitioner has submitted his representation before the concerned authority, however, the same has not been responded by the authority. Having no other alternative, the petitioner has filed the instant writ petition. 3. The respondent authorities have filed an affidavit-in-opposition in the instant case, wherein, they have admitted that an amount of Rs. 10,12,574/- is due to be paid to the petitioner for the work he has executed under the department. The learned counsel appearing for the respondent authorities has submitted that the instant case can be disposed of with a direction for payment of the aforesaid amount, providing a specified time limit. 4. To the aforesaid submission, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner does not have any objection. Page No.# 3/3 5. In view of the aforesaid submissions, appearing for the respective parties, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent authorities, i.e., the respondent no. 2 to clear the dues of the petitioner within a period of 4(four) months on receipt of a certified copy of the instant order. 6. The petitioner is directed to submit a certified copy of the instant order at the earliest to the concerned authority, i.e., the respondent no. 2. 7.
