Instant writ petition is filed with following prayer:- a) By an appropriate writ, order and direction in the nature thereof the impugned order dated 20.05.2022 may kindly be quashed and set aside and Appeal of the petitioner may kindly be allowed and the respondents may kindly be directed to give Special promotion to the petitioner for outstanding performance from the date when it became due with all consequential benefits. 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner has a right to be considered for promotion on the basis of Gallantry Award, but same has not been considered by the respondents. He further submits that the case of petitioner is based on the State Policy and Rules of 28(A) and 28(B) of Rajasthan Police Subordinate Civil Services Rules, 1989. Considering the submissions and it is appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with direction to the petitioner to submit a representation to the respondents within a period of 8 weeks from date of receipt of copy of the order and direction to the respondents to consider the representation in light of provision of rule and also the policy of the State. The respondents-Authority are directed to decide the representation with a reasoned and speaking order within a period of 8 weeks from date of receipt of representation. After the decision, the respondents are under an obligation to communicate the decision to the petitioner either by way of speed post or through E-mail, if petitioner has provided E- mail in his representation 4.
