1. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner has been foisted with the present criminal case. Although, there were certain trivial disputes.
2. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and has produced the case diary along with a report prepared by the Investigating Officer of the case. The report reflects that although there are accusations of Rs. 16 lakhs being parted to the accused persons but till date the Investigating Officer was not handed over with any document of acknowledgment. Having considered the same, I am inclined to allow the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner.

3. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner in Digha P.S. Case No. 14 of 2026 dated 23.02.2026 is allowed.
4. As such, I direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner be released on bail subject to the satisfaction of the investigating officer/arresting officer of the case and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Cr.P.C. and/or under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita,
2023. Once in every 10 days Petitioner shall meet with the Investigating Officer of the case.
5. With the aforesaid observations, CRM (A) 2552 of 2026 is disposed of.
6. Memo of Evidence submitted in Court be kept with the record.
7. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance with requisite formalities.
